A Grovetown woman, an Augusta man and his daughter died in a Friday wreck in McDuffie County.
Scott Craven, 31, of Augusta, and Brandi Ray, 32, of Grovetown, were killed instantly in the crash on Georgia Highway 221. Craven’s 1-year-old daughter, Lily Mac, was critically injured and taken by helicopter to Georgia Regents Medical Center, but later died.
Craven’s vehicle left the road, over-corrected and ran head-on into a tractor-trailer, according to Ritchie Howard, the Grovetown post commander for the Georgia State Patrol.
The driver of the truck, Gregory Flournoy, 51, and his passenger, Chavis Wright, 29, both of Milledgeville, Ga., were taken to University Hospital-McDuffie and treated for injuries that weren’t life-threatening.
