The large building is still under construction. The lobby water feature hasn’t been installed. The landscaping isn’t in yet.
But Marshall Square Retirement Resort if definitely open for business.
“We’d love to give you a pampered lifestyle,” said Bob Epstein, a community relations director for the Evans retirement community.
Though construction on the 134-apartment senior living community isn’t even near complete, the information center has been open to interested seniors for about three weeks.
Epstein said he’s already received 50 deposits for those who want to be on the reservations deposits list. Those on that list will get to choose their apartment before the estimated Oct. opening of the complex.
The information center is located in front of the community at 850 Ronald Reagan Drive in Evans and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. After-hours appointments can be made by calling (706) 854-1234.
Epstein said anyone on the reservation deposit list will get calls when it’s time to choose apartments and those at the top of the list will have more options, he said. He recommends coming to the center for more information.
Monthly rent ranging from $2,500 to $4,300 includes all utilities such as water, cable, Internet and phone as well as transportation, fine and casual dining with on-site chefs, housekeeping, fitness center, theater, and concierge and valet services among others. The community is “protected, safe and secure” with locked outside doors.
“Understand the lifestyle, then make a decision,” Epstein said.
Anyone interested in more information can attend an informational seminar on May 15. The seminar will be at 2 p.m. at Be My Guest, 4216 Washington Road in Evans. Preregistration is recommended by May 12 and can be done by calling (706) 814-8399.
