Community Easter egg hunts begin Saturday

With Easter around the corner, several Columbia County Easter-themed activities give children a chance to collect the spoils left by the Easter Bunny.

EASTER EGG HUNTS

What: Columbia County’s annual Easter Egg Scramble

When: Saturday 10 a.m. for ages 1-4; 11 a.m. for ages 5 and up. (Rain date April 19.)

Where: Evans Towne Center Park in Evans

About: Egg hunts, music, food, children’s crafts and photos with the Easter Bunny

Cost: $1 per child

What: Abilene Baptist Church’s annual Easter Egg Drop

When: 10 a.m. April 19; egg hunts begin at noon

Where: Columbia County Fairgrounds on Columbia Road in Appling

About: 40,000 candy-filled eggs dropped in multiple drop zones, inflatables, face-painting, games, live music, food

What: Harlem’s annual Easter Egg Extravaganza

When: Noon to 3 p.m. April 19

Where: Harlem City Park in Harlem

About: Easter egg hunts, games, popcorn, hotdogs and drinks

What: Mosaic United Methodist Church’s annual Community Easter Egg Hunt

When: 3-5 p.m. April 19

Where: Evans High School football stadium in Evans

About: 6,000 candy-filled eggs, games, face-painting, crafts and food
