All Columbia County libraries will be closed for four days beginning Friday for statewide updates.

All libraries in the Greater Clarks Hill Regional Library System – including the Columbia County, Euchee Creek and Harlem libraries as well as those in Lincoln and Warren counties – will be closed beginning Friday through Jan. 20. The closure allows for staff training and statewide PINES upgrades, according to library Manager Mary Lin Maner.

Book drop-off boxes will be locked during the closure to avoid them being over-filled. During the closure, all services that are accessed by PINES library cards also will be unavailable, according to Maner.

The libraries will reopen at normal times on Jan. 21.
