The 9/11 – A Day of Remembrance and Reflection will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the flagpole at Evans Towne Center Park in Evans.

“The public is invited to join us to remember the innocent victims and emergency response heroes who lots their lives on this 12th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attack on the United States of America,” Columbia County Emergency and Operations Division Director Pam Tucker said.

The ceremony includes guest speaker Brig. Gen. John B. Morrison Jr., commanding general of the 7th Signal Command at Fort Gordon, remarks from county commission Chairman Ron Cross and a closing prayer by the Rev. Bill Harrell.
