Sixth annual car show set for Saturday

Posted: April 16, 2013 - 11:17pm

The Evans Lions Club will hold its sixth annual Jim Metts Memorial Car Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
Admission to the event is free, with a $25 registration fee for show

This will be the show’s first year at the Evans park, said Cathy Rhodes, a Lions Club member and co-chairwoman of the event with her husband, Mike.

“The venue was so wonderful,” she said. “(The club members) wanted to try it there because it’s a bigger area, plus they have the stage and we’ve got a live band.

“They wanted to try the venue there because several other car shows have been held there.”

About 100 vehicles were in the show last year, Rhodes said, with more participation expected this year.

The show is characterized by its variety, Rhodes said, with motorcycles, restored classic cars, muscle cars and exotic cars on display.

“It’ll just be a mixture of everything,” she said.

Vendors will be selling food and other goods, and there will be activities for children.

Car shows are very much

Car shows are very much important to gain publicity which is very helpful for marketing. Several car brands you can find in a car show and a big car show can make your time wonderful. Last time I have visited a car show in nearby city and that time I also saw there the new lunched model of Volvo and after that I bought that model from a Volvo showroom. That model was really awesome and right now am using the same. Volvo Repair Ann Arbor
