Columbia County school disciplinary hearings for Jan. 16, 2013

A Columbia County Alternative School special needs student went before the school system hearing officer on Dec. 19 for disorderly conduct and remanded to the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Committee for punishment.

A Columbia County Alternative School student went before the hearing officer on Dec. 19 for disorderly conduct and was given out-of-school suspension for 15 days.

A Grovetown Middle School pupil went before the hearing officer on Dec. 19 for sexual harassment and was expelled for the first semester of this school year and sent to the alternative school for the second semester.

A Lakeside High School special needs student went before the hearing officer on Dec. 19 for possession of a pellet gun and remanded to the IEP Committee for punishment.

A Lakeside High School student went before the hearing officer on Dec. 19 for public display of affection and remanded to school with time served.

A Grovetown Middle School pupil went before the hearing officer on Dec. 19 for accumulation of offenses and was expelled for the first semester of this school year and sent to the alternative school for the second semester.

A Harlem High School student went before the hearing officer on Dec. 20 for possession of drugs and under the influence and was expelled for the first semester of this school year and sent to the alternative school for the second semester.

An Evans High School student went before the hearing officer on Dec. 20 for school disruption and honor code violation and was expelled for the first semester of this school year and sent to the alternative school for the second semester and the first semester of the 2013-2014 school year.

A Grovetown Middle School pupil went before the hearing officer on Dec. 20 for accumulation of offenses and was expelled for the first semester of this school year and sent to the alternative school for the second semester.

A Greenbrier High School student went before the hearing officer on Dec. 20 for possession of prescription drugs and was expelled for the first semester of this school year and sent to the alternative school for the second semester.

A Lakeside Middle School pupil went before the hearing officer on Dec. 20 for terroristic threats and was expelled for the first semester of this school year and sent to the alternative school for the second semester and the first semester of the 2013-2014 school year.
