The city of Grovetown is throwing a bash to celebrate summer before school starts back in August.
The Dog Days of Summer Carnival will be from 5 until 11 p.m. Friday at Liberty Park Community Center, 1040 Newmantown Road.
The festival includes arts, crafts and refreshment vendors, and live entertainment from the Jim Fisher Band.
Family-friendly activities will include bounce houses, an inflatable obstacle course, tethered hot air balloon rides and carnival games.
Admission to the carnival is free, but there might be a charge for some of the activities.
Vendor spaces are available for $20.
