The Swingin' Medallions will perform Friday at Columbia County's Summer Beach Blast at Lady Antebellum Pavilion in Evans Towne Center Park.

Area residents can head to an Evans park Friday for a beach vibe.

Columbia County’s Summer Beach Blast will bring a tropical-themed concert to Evans Towne Center Park.

The Tams, The Swingin’ Medallions and Bobby Hendrick’s Drifters are scheduled to perform at Lady Antebellum Pavilion.

County Community Events Specialist Keela Colombraro said The Swingin’ Medallions, of Greenwood, S.C., are crowd favorites. “They’re always such a big hit,” she said.

Gates to the park open at 5:30 p.m., and music by The Tams begins at 7 p.m.

About 8 p.m., The Swingin’ Medallions will take the stage, followed by Bobby Hendrick’s Drifters at 9 p.m.

Colombraro said the audience will find a sand pit set up in front of the stage.

“People can shag in the sand,” she said.

Vendors will sell food and drinks, including daiquiris, and a misting tent and Arctic Beach Fun Zone for kids will be available.
