A Columbia County Alternative School student went before the school system hearing officer on April 17 for an accumulation of offenses and was expelled for the remainder of this school year.

A Grovetown High School student went before the hearing officer on April 17 for possession of over-the-counter drugs and public intoxication and was given long-term out-of and in-school suspension.

A Lakeside High School student went before the hearing officer on April 17 for possession and use of drugs and was expelled for the remainder of this school year and ordered to attend the Alternative School for the first semester of next year.

An Alternative School student went before the hearing officer on April 17 for school disruption and being party to a violation of the Code of Conduct and was expelled for the remainder of this school year and ordered to attend the alternative school for the first semester of next year.
