Pony cars of all types will gallop into Evans Towne Center Park as the CSRA Mustang Club holds its annual automotive show Saturday.

The club’s third annual Mustang & Ford Show, called Ponies in the Park, is scheduled from 9 a.m.
until 4 p.m. at the park on Evans Town Center Boulevard.

Club President Don Blackstock said he jumped at the chance to move the event from the nearby Fairway Ford of Evans, a show sponsor, to the park.

“With just the normal, everyday crowd that comes over to the park on a Saturday, it’s going to be an awesome turnout, we really believe,” he said.

This year, Blackstock said he expects more than 100 Ford-powered vehicles to be showcased, including those brought by Ford clubs throughout Georgia and South Carolina.

“All of them are fine automobiles that we’ve taken care of,” he said.

While park admission is free, show registration costs $25, or $20 and a 5-pound bag of pet food.

All proceeds will benefit Columbia County Animal Services, with pet food donations going to the CSRA Humane Society.

The event includes food, pony rides and live entertainment from Jeff Barnes Entertainment and BorderLine Band.

For information or to register, call Blackstock at (706) 825-1675 or visit www.csramc.org.
