March 27

• A Greenbrier High School student went before the school system hearing officer for an accumulation of offenses and was expelled for the remainder of the school year with the option to attend the Columbia County Alternative School.

• A Lakeside Middle School special needs pupil went before the hearing officer for an accumulation of offenses and was remanded to the Individualized Education Plan Committee for punishment.

• A Grovetown Middle School pupil went before the hearing officer for an accumulation of offenses and was expelled for the remainder of the school year and the first semester of next school year with the option to attend the alternative school.

• A Grovetown Middle School pupil went before the hearing officer for an accumulation of offenses and was expelled for the remainder of this school year.

March 28

• A Grovetown Middle School pupil went before the hearing officer for larceny/theft and was expelled for the remainder of this school year with the option to attend the alternative school.

• A Grovetown Middle School pupil went before the hearing officer for an accumulation of offenses and was expelled for the remainder of this school year and the first semester of next school year with the option to attend the alternative school.

• A Lakeside Middle School pupil went before the hearing officer for an accumulation of offenses and was expelled for the remainder of this school year and the first semester of next school year with the option to attend the alternative school.

• An Evans High School student went before the hearing officer for being under the influence of drugs and was expelled for the remainder of this school year.

• A Grovetown Middle School pupil went before the hearing officer for possession of a weapon and was remanded to the school for punishment because of insufficient evidence.

• A Columbia County Alternative School student went before the hearing officer for an accumulation of offenses and was suspended for 11 days.

March 29

• A Blue Ridge Ele­men­tary School pupil went before the school system hearing officer for possession of a weapon and was suspended for 11 days.

• A Grovetown High School student went before the hearing officer for larceny/theft and was expelled for the remainder of this school year and the first semester of next year with the option to attend the alternative school.

• Four Greenbrier High School students went before the hearing officer for being under the influence of drugs and were expelled for the remainder of this school year with the option to attend the alternative school.

April 11

• A Greenbrier High School student went before the hearing officer for drug possession and was expelled for the remainder of the school year.

• A Grovetown High School student went before the hearing officer for drug and weapons possession and was expelled for the remainder of this school year and the first semester of next year with the option to attend the alternative school.

• A Grovetown High School special needs student went before the hearing officer for being party to drug possession and was remanded to the Individualized Education Plan Committee.

• Two Grovetown High School students went before the school system hearing officer and were expelled for the remainder of this school year and the first semester of next year with the option to attend the alternative school.

• A Lakeside Middle School pupil went before the hearing officer for disrupting school and was expelled for the remainder of this school year with the option to attend the alternative school.

• Two Columbia County Alternative School students went before the school system hearing officer and were expelled for the remainder of this school year.

• A Riverside Middle School pupil went before the hearing officer for an accumulation of offenses and was expelled for the remainder of this school year and the first semester of next school year with the option to attend the alternative school.

April 12

• A Grovetown High School student went before the hearing officer for acts of violence against a school employee and was expelled for the remainder of this school year and all of next school year with the option to attend the alternative school.

• A Grovetown High School student went before the hearing officer for disorderly conduct and was expelled for the remainder of this school year and the first semester of next school year with the option to attend the alternative school.

• A Columbia County Alternative School special needs student went before the school system hearing officer for an accumulation of offenses and was remanded to the Individualized Education Plan Committee.

• A Grovetown Middle School pupil went before the hearing officer for an accumulation of offenses and was expelled for the remainder of this school year.

• An Evans Middle School pupil went before the hearing officer for drug possession and was expelled for the remainder of this school year and the first semester of next school year with the option to attend the alternative school.

• A Columbia Middle School pupil went before the hearing officer for an accumulation of offenses and was expelled for the remainder of this school year and the first semester of next school year with the option to attend the alternative school.
