Everyone is invited to partake in the festivities for Columbia County’s Masters Tournament party Thursday at Evans Towne Center Park.
Par Tee @ The Park centers on a country concert featuring Little Big Town, Josh Kelley and Eric Paslay.
The event will showcase the county to Masters guests, and also give residents a chance to check out the Evans park, which opened in October, said county Community Events Specialist Keela Colombraro.
“There’s still a lot of people that live here that don’t know about the park or haven’t been to visit it yet,” she said.
Gates to the park on Evans Town Center Boulevard open at 4 p.m. and the concert starts at 6 p.m. General admission costs $25 and VIP tickets closest to the stage cost $35.
After the show, patrons can mingle with former and current professional athletes at Warren Moon’s Legends of Sports Celebrity Party from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. Former NFL quarterback Warren Moon, former NFL running back Eric Dickerson and Lee Elder, the first black golfer to play in the Masters, in 1975, will attend.
A $250 party pass will provide a VIP ticket to the concert and access to the sports party, with complimentary food, drinks and a DJ playing music beneath a tent, Colombraro said.
During the concert, the stage at Lady Antebellum Pavilion will be dedicated to Kelley, a pop and country musician from Columbia County.
“We really wanted to do it when Josh was actually here to make sure he gets the honor that he deserves,” Colombraro said.
Country band Little Big Town is headlining the show.
Colombraro encourages patrons to bring blankets and chairs to the concert. Coolers and food aren’t allowed, but food and alcohol vendors will set up on site.
