No one was injured in a fire that destroyed a Grovetown home Friday morning.
A passerby saw the fire at 639 Hamilton Road at about 2:30 a.m., Martinez-Columbia Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Brent Willis said.
“A passerby beat on the windows and woke (the homeowner) up,” Willis said. “The homeowner escaped uninjured.”
The double-wide mobile home, owned by an Augusta woman, was completely destroyed.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Willis said.
