Inclement weather wreaked havoc with Columbia County’s Friday night sports lineup.

Baseball’s Diamond Days at Evans High School lost two games as Lakeside vs. Thomson and Evans vs. Burke County were rained out. The full slate of Saturday games are still on as scheduled.

Harlem is off to a fast 3-0 start this year, but they’ll also have to cool their heels with the postponement of their home contest against Greenbrier.

With the Grovetown field under water, the anticipated soccer matchup against Region 3-AAA rival Grovetown Harlem was washed away.

With a tornado warning in the Atlanta area, the Greenbrier boys lacrosse match at St. Pius was cancelled. Their game at home tomorrow at noon against Marist is still scheduled to be played.

Greenbrier was also supposed to take the courts at South Effingham, but the match was rescheduled until April 13.
