Jefferson Energy Cooperative recently donated a check for more than $6100 to the Southeastern Firefighter's Burn Foundation from JEC employee contributions throughout the year. The foundation staffs and operates the Jeffrey Vaden Chavis house at the Shirley Badke Retreat and also helps needy patients pay for medications, anti-scarring garments and transportation for follow-up medical visits. Price Dunaway of Evans will be honored by the Integrated Medical Foundation at its Fourth Annual Prostate Cancer Awareness benefit on May 9 at the Woodbury Jewish Center in Woodbury, N.Y. Dunaway is the first nonphysician to be honored by IMF for his contributions to education and public awareness in the fight against prostate cancer.
