Some Vegas-style fun is coming to Columbia County.
Organizers of the Columbia County Charity Gala, a Vegas-style event, will hold an evening of casino games, big-band music, dancing and celebrity impersonators to benefit three county charities.
The third annual gala will start at 7 p.m. Saturday at Savannah Rapids Pavilion. Tickets cost $80 per person, or $150 per couple.
All proceeds will be split between the Columbia County Arts Development Fund, Columbia County Cares food pantry and Teenage Years 101, which was added this year.
Teenage Years 101, started by Superior Court Judge J. Wade Padgett in 2006, explains legal issues affecting teens and their parents.
Admission includes dinner, provided by Silver Palm Catering Co., a drink, a raffle ticket and chips for the casino games, including poker, blackjack, roulette and craps.
Guests can also join a Texas Hold’em tournament. Buy-ins cost $35 and seating is limited.
Entertainment includes big-band music from Swingsation and celebrity impersonators, Allen said. A deejay will play dance music from 10-11 p.m.
Tickets will be on sale for raffle prizes, including high-end electronics and gift packages.
The gala is black-tie optional.
Advance tickets and buy-ins for the poker tournament are on sale at Learning Express, 4158 Washington Road, Evans, or from the Columbia County Community and Leisure Services office in Evans.
