The second semester of the new Augusta Technical College campus in Grovetown starts Wednesday, and for the first time the campus will offer night classes.
Evening classes, mostly in core subjects, will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, said Julie Langham, who serves as the enrollment director for Augusta Tech campuses in Grovetown and Thomson.
Though the enrollment deadline for the new semester was in November, Langham said the school will continue to accept students until classes start.
Langham said she didn’t know last week how many students already had enrolled for the new semester.
However, she did say that 150 students attended the new school in its first semester, when only day classes and fewer courses were offered.
“We’re still looking at adding classes,” Langham said. “We’re trying to feel it out to see what programs we can offer there.”
In addition to core classes, the Grovetown campus also offers programs in welding and business administration.
New classes this semester include some in management and criminal justice.
Current Augusta Tech students can register through the school’s Web site.
Langham said new students must register in person, but can do so at any campus.
