An open house and public meeting to discuss the Georgia Department of Transportation's $20 million plan to replace the Price-Legg Bridge at Clarks Hill Lake will be held 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at The Lincoln Center, 160 May Ave., Lincolnton, Ga.
The informal open house will include an opportunity for the public to ask questions and comment on the proposed project, which will commence in 2014 and involves replacing the existing bridge on State Route 43 over the Little River at the lake.
Residents interested in learning more are encouraged to attend, view displays, express thoughts and concerns with DOT representatives, and provide written comments. After this event, meeting handouts will be available online. To access, visit DOT's Web site at www.dot.ga.gov; select Information Center; then Public Information; then Public Outreach.
"We are eager to hear the viewpoints and concerns of all area residents," said Jimmy Smith, DOT district engineer in Tennille. "The Georgia DOT encourages all interested parties to provide their input for this project."
