About 1.25 inches of rainfall is expected from the storms, and coupled with damaging winds, could produce a potential for downed trees, the agency warned.

Scattered to severe storms with damaging winds and a possibility for isolated tornados are expected in Columbia County and surrounding areas.

According to Columbia County Emergency Management Agency officials, damaging winds are the main threat through Monday night, however a potential for isolated tornados are possible beginning Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

"There is medium to high confidence that we will see damaging wind, low to medium confidence that we could see supercells/tornadoes and medium confidence that we will get hail from these storms," said EMA officials.
