Columbia County authorities are trying to identify two men they say shoplifted from the Evans Walmart store in December.
An asset protection employee at the store on Washington Road said that two men came into the store at about noon on Dec. 9, according to a Columbia County Sheriff’s Office incident report. The employee said the men came into the store together and loaded a shopping cart with a 30-pack of Budweiser beer and a 30-pack of Bud Light, worth more than $200, a Keurig coffee maker worth $198 and a $15 hand mixer.
The man wearing a tan jacket left the store. The other, wearing a blue jacket followed him out with the shopping cart without paying for the merchandise.
An employee walked out to talk to the men, but they were already leaving in a silver Buick LeSabre with a South Carolina tag, according to the report.
Anyone who knows the identity or whereabouts of the men should call the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 541-2800.
