An Evans woman was arrested early Sunday accused of stabbing her husband in a Myrtle Beach, S.C., hotel room.
Lisa Joann Wahman, 44, of Hardy McManus Road, was charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, according to a booking report from the Myrtle Beach Police Department.
Myrtle beach Police Department officers were called to the Anderson Ocean Club and Spa hotel on N. Ocean Boulevard at about 2 a.m. for an assault. They found Wahman standing outside her room with hotel security personnel, according to a police department incident report. Inside, officers found her husband, Erik Joseph Wahman, 39, laying on the kitchen floor with a laceration to his lower back.
A witness told police she was sleeping in the guest bedroom with the children and was awakened by Mrs. Wahman coming into the room. She went into the bathroom and shut the door, according to the report. The witness heard someone yell, “Ouch Lisa.” She opened the door when she heard someone stumbling down the hallway and found Mr. Wahman in a pool of blood in the kitchen, according to the report. She called 911.
Hotel security guards responded to a 911 hang-up from the room. A woman answered and said a man had been stabbed. They found Mr. Wahman laying on the kitchen floor as Mrs. Wahman held pressure on his wound, according to the report.
Security personnel took Mrs. Wahman into the hall as another continued to care for her husband. Mrs. Wahman told one of the security guards that she didn’t think she stabbed him that hard, according to the report.
A guest in a neighboring room told police she heard a commotion and someone repeatedly saying, “Oh God.” She heard someone on the phone reporting a stabbing and heard the sirens of responders.
