Columbia County road crews were called out to fix a section of Meadow Hill Drive Monday afternoon after it collapsed.

The road weakened by the continuous rain and the weight of a garbage truck caused a section of the asphalt to give way, according to Mike Whitaker, Columbia County Roads and Bridges Special Projects manager.

Crews have made temporary repairs to the road and will be making more permanent repairs on Tuesday.

A vehicle weight/rain tax for CC? Oh, we have a vehicle wt. tax

But we can start a new tax to pay for these engineering or lack of engineering. Taxes cover a multitude of sins. Its in the Bible. The bible of corrupt government management.

Anything passes for engineering in CC. A small child knows more about fluid mechanics. Small children build dams and roads. Or they used to when they actually played outside.
