Columbia County authorities are trying to identify two women they say used counterfeit checks at an Evans Target store last month.

The two women came into the store in Mullins Crossing at about 7 p.m. on May 22. They used eight different counterfeit checks to make a $1,397.20 purchase in the Electronics department, according to a Columbia County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

They left in a dark-colored SUV.

Anyone with information about the women’s identities or whereabouts should call the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 541-2800.

An recent informal survey in Mullens Outlet Mall revealed.....

in a thirty minute period, 80 % of the vehicles were from Richmond County. Or just had expired Richmond County tags? 100% of those vehicle's occupants were of ethnic origin.

Good news and bad news. Sales Tax revenue is good for CC. Organized "boosting", AKA organized shoplifting, is bad for retail loss prevention.

Hunting is permitted outside the

ARC of No Covenant. Then a hasty return to the village. Boy, the truth that sets you free has a painful remedy.

Just My Opinion

Man, I was treated like a

Man, I was treated like a criminal for returning something without a receipt there awhile back, and these chicks get away with doing all this??? You mean to tell me that the clerk didn't think it was odd that they were writing all those different checks?? And the transactions were being done in the electronics department, instead of the front of the store? Yeah, okay. Any chance the clerk was involved?
And let's be honest...these chicks don't look the type to be dumping $1397.20 on anything except some EBT purchases.

How, praytell...

How does someone look that should be using EBT as opposed to DEBIT? Why the stereotypes? Have you seen a list of people who shoplift? Most of them look like the people you think are upstanding? Get your facts! Know your stats!

Wanna know what criminals also look like?

Linda Schrenko: The first woman and the first Republican to hold a statewide political office in Georgia who then served as the state’s schools superintendent for eight years and went on to steal $600,000 in federal funds set aside for educational services for deaf children and those in the governor’s honors programs.

Robin Williams: Served a decade in the state House of Representatives and schemed to steal more than $2 million from the local community mental health center, one of the only mental health facilities available for poor people.

Look at these comments, how is this different from the local firefighter that tweeted about illegal immigrants? Augusta is going to hell in a handbasket if we dont stop looking at color and just call a spade a spade.
