An Evans attorney was nabbed in a bank parking lot after what police say was an attempted robbery Monday afternoon.

Ronald Jin Man Pak, 47, of the 4200 block of Aerie Circle, was arrested as he was leaving the Wells Fargo Bank at 489 Furys Ferry Road in Martinez, said Columbia County sheriff’s Capt. Steve Morris.

Pak is a local attorney specializing in immigration and nationality law.

Deputies responded to an alarm at the bank shortly after 2 p.m. when Morris said Pak approached a teller, said he had a gun and demanded cash.

Pak didn’t show a weapon and left without receiving any money, and was apprehended while driving away from the bank parking lot, Morris said.

He was charged with criminal attempt to commit a felony and is being held in the Columbia County Detention Center without bond, according to jail records.

Too bad he didn't specialize

Too bad he didn't specialize in criminal law. Or common sense.

Does bank robbery .....

constitute a federal offense any longer?

Mentally Ill

This man has been hospitalized numerous times for mental illness. He used to work in a big Atlanta law firm before he was terminated for his bizarre behavior. His family is well off and owns a large business in Martinez. Money certainly wasn't a problem for him.

It is hard to believe that an attorney has tried to rob a bank and has got arrested. These days one can find attorneys and law firms everywhere, but you should only opt for reputed names in the field. For example, if you need a boutique consumer protection law firm, you should approach

Well these are actually a turn of events that occurs very rarely. This also makes a very bad image of the constitution as well, such a person should always be made an example by being punished so that no one dares to do it again. Pest control equipment

It is a strange incident, it is hard to understand why an attorney would try to rob a bank in the first place when he is fully aware of the consequences of his act. It is always best to be choosy about your lawyer, you should always opt for a reputed lawyer or firm for your case. If you need help in the field of family law then you should approach

When you think of a lawyer,

When you think of a lawyer, you picture him in a court of law, representing a case, not robbing a bank! He was supposed to be on the good side, to find justice for those in need. The per diem attorneys in New York would never cross that line, helping their clients is more important than anything. Those who represent the law should always remember this!

This is a bizarre incident,

This is a bizarre incident, being a lawyer he was aware of the consequences of his act and yet he went on to do it. However, before hiring any attorney you should always do a background check. Most attorneys could be found online, not just that but you can also find subpoena service provider online now.

This piece of news is really weird, being an attorney he was definitely aware of the consequences of his action, yet he went on to do it. Be very careful while choosing an attorney, it is always best to approach the reputed ones like James P. Hoffman who could be accessed at

It is indeed hard to believe

It is indeed hard to believe that a lawyer could actually take a drastic step like this. However, before you choose your attorney for sorting out any legal mess you are in, you should conduct a bit of background check before making the final decision. Most of the reputed attorneys are available online, if you need information about criminal defense attorneys of Michigan, you can find that online in a jiffy.
