Authorities are looking for a woman they say recently stole an iPhone from the counter of a Martinez convenience store.

An Augusta woman said she set her phone on the counter of the Enmark at 221 Bobby Jones Expressway while paying for her purchases at about 10:30 p.m. on April 11. When she realized she’d left the phone and returned a few minutes later, it was gone, according to a Columbia County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

The woman said a woman, who left the store very quickly as she came back for the phone, stole it.

Anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the woman who took the phone should call the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 541-2800.
