Several people pled not guilty to charges in a Columbia County court Friday.
Five Grovetown teens pled not guilty to charges connected to a Dec. 28 robbery in Grovetown. Anthony Blade Turner, 19; Baker Lee Brannen Cochran, 17; Larry Charles Porche, 17; Austin Tyler Love, 18; and Christopher Scott Love, 18, pled not guilt to robbery, entering an auto and criminal trespass. Porche also pled not guilty to burglary.
Authorities say the teens broke into a truck at Eagle Point apartments. The owner, armed with his firearm, chased the teens to a nearby laundromat, where he grabbed a 16-year-old. The other five teens indicted rushed the man, stole his gun and shoes and ran away. They also took a bag of tools from his truck.
All five teens are being held in the jail. Christopher Love and Porche are being held without bond, according to jail records.
A Grovetown woman accused of sexually assaulting a teenage boy also pled not guilty at the hearing. Ashley Leigh Wood, 36, pled not guilty to aggravated child molestation.
Wood, who was a babysitter for a Grovetown family that included young children and a 14-year-old boy, is accused of offering and providing oral sex to the teen on Jan. 24. The teen said Wood talked to him in a sexually explicit manner regularly and attempted to sit on his lap as he played video games on Jan. 24.
