Tomato-growing class set for Tuesday

Want to learn to grow prize-winning tomatoes?

Columbia County agricultural educators will give lessons on Tuesday.

The annual tomato growing class, which also provides information on the annual big tomato contest, will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 2 at Greenbrier High School.

The class is taught by the school system’s agriculture education teachers, and participation is free.

I'm a big fan of Early Girl. They aren't very large, but they ripen early and seem to do well through the hot summer.
