A Riverdale, Ga., man wanted for convenience store robberies in Columbia and Richmond counties was arrested early Thursday.
Khatrell Rashon Harris, 21, of Bald Eagle Way in Riverdale, Ga., was arrested in Richmond County and was charged with three counts of armed robbery, robbery by force, aggravated battery, two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He’s being held in the Richmond County jail without bond, according to jail records.
He’s also wanted in Columbia County for armed robbery, possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Harris is one of two men accused of using a handgun to rob the Fuel Express on Jimmie Dyess Parkway near Interstate 20 on Feb. 8. Harris and another man pointed semi-automatic pistils at the cashier and demanded money, according to a Columbia County Sheriff’s Office incident report.
The cashier gave the men an undisclosed amount of cash and they ran out the front doors.
Harris also is a suspect in at least one armed robbery in Richmond County, the Feb. 7 robbery of the BP station on Gordon Highway in Augusta.
