One of two teens hit by a car while crossing North Belair Road Friday remains hospitalized Tuesday.

Jimmy Taylor, 13, of Martinez is in fair condition at the Medical College of Georgia Hospital, according to a hospital spokesperson. Damonte Fludd, 14, of Martinez, was treated and released.

The two were trying to cross North Belair Road at about 7:45 p.m. from Bruster’s toward the Evans 14 Cinemas, according to a Columbia County Sheriff’s Office accident report. They didn’t see a Cadillac Seville driven by William Delacey Allen of Grovetown. The Cadillac hit Jimmy, throwing him over the car. He landed in the oncoming turn lane. Damonte ran into the right front of the car and was knocked to the ground.

Allen wasn’t charged and the teens were found at fault in the wreck for darting into traffic, according to the report.
