Representatives from four Martinez churches and a park told authorities Monday morning that someone spray-painted the signs or doors of the churches.

Vandals painted the brick sign in front of Bible Fellowship Church at 3701 Old Petersburg Road overnight Sunday. While on patrol, a deputy saw that someone painted “Abort Christ” on the sign in front of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church at 3703 Old Petersburg Road.

The same patrolling deputy also discovered someone painted “Serve the Servant” and “TIT” painted on the sign in front of Church of Christ at 3650 Old Petersburg Road. Someone also painted “Are you safe?” on the front door of the Old Line Primitive Baptist Church at 3646 Old Petersburg Road.

Someone also painted symbols on the entrance sign to Kelley Park, which is near the churches on Old Petersburg Road.
