Two injured in head-on collision

Two people were sent to the hospital late Thursday after a head-on collision in Evans.

At about 10:40 p.m., Jordan Arlo Krenz, 17, of Evans, lost control of his Datsun 300ZX on North Belair Road at Edwards Drive. Krenz veered into oncoming lanes and hit a southbound Toyota Avalon head-on.

Krenz and the driver of the Toyota – David Moore, 51, of Augusta – had to be extricated from their vehicles and transported to the Medical College of Georgia Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. Both were listed in fair condition Friday, according to a hospital spokesperson.
