He hold the neighbor that his wife stabbed his right leg with a butcher knife as he slept.
When deputies arrived to the residence, the husband told them that his wife had locked the door and was cleaning up blood.

The husband said he had just returned home from a trip and went to sleep in a separate room from his wife. He awoke to her stabbing him in the leg.

Collins, who was intoxicated, said her husband was verbally abusive toward her when he came home. She said he grabbed her hand that was holding the knife and stabbed himself.
