Columbia County authorities are looking for two people wanted for stealing tequila from a Martinez liquor store on Nov. 18.

The owner of Beverage Outlet, 248 Bobby Jones Expressway, told deputies that a middle-aged woman and a young man came into the store at about 5 p.m. The man took an $80 bottle of Patron Silver tequila off the shelf and put it into the woman’s bag, according to a Columbia County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

The owner said he tried to follow the pair out of the store, but they drove away quickly, according to the report.

Anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the couple should call the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 541-2800.
