Three minors cited for drinking

Three minors were charged Saturday with underage drinking.

A deputy went to a home on Magnolia Lane in Evans after a complaint of loud noise. As he approached, several people ran into nearby woods. Four people who didn’t run said they were attending a party. All four – including Tanner Bryce Chapman, 20, of McDowell Street in Augusta – admitted they had been drinking.

After several minutes, three people who had run into the woods emerged. Two of them – Ryan Wayne Fulcher, 20, of Magnolia Lane, in Evans, and Sara Pate, 20, of Bluffton, S.C., – also admitted drinking.

All three minors tested positive for alcohol and were issued county ordinance violations for being a minor in possession of alcohol.
