Columbia County authorities arrested a Grovetown man Monday accused of groping three women at two local Walmarts this weekend.
Javantroi Perez Walden, 33, was charged with three counts of misdemeanor sexual battery after three women reported being fondled Saturday morning at two Columbia County Walmart locations, according to three sheriff’s office incident reports.
A 57-year-old woman told deputies that at about 6:45 a.m., a man wearing a dark long-sleeved shirt and dark pants grabbed her breast at the Evans Walmart and fled the store. The assault was captured on surveillance video.
The man left in a dark Buick.
Two women, ages 26 and 39, shopping at the Martinez Walmart on Bobby Jones Expressway said a man matching the same description grabbed their breasts less than an hour later.
One of the women said the man assaulted her as she was walking into the store before leaving in a dark Buick.
Walden additionally was charged with fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, open alcohol container and two traffic violations. He is being held at the Columbia County Detention Center with bond set at $19,700.
This is the second time Walden has been charged with sexual battery since July.
He was arrested July 3 for grabbing the breasts of a 21-year-old woman at the Martinez Walmart and a 17-year-old server at the Martinez Sonic on Belair Road, according to incident reports.
At that time, Walden was unable to give a reason for his actions.
