A Martinez teen died Thursday from injuries she sustained in a Wednesday night crash in Evans.
Jordan Elizabeth White, 19, of Springlakes Drive in Martinez, died at 12:42 p.m. at the Georgia Health Sciences University Medical Center, according to Columbia County Coroner Vernon Collins.
White was a 2011 Evans High School graduate. She was studying at Augusta State University and worked at Firehouse Subs, according to her Facebook page.
She was airlifted to the hospital after the wreck just before midnight on Washington Road.
White's passengers, Corey Davis, 19, of Cyndee Circle in Martinez, is in fair condition at GHSU, according to a hospital spokeswoman. She had no listing for the other passenger, Clinton Guyman, 22, of Belglade Road in Grovetown, who also was taken to the hospital.
Charges are pending against Lucky Wade Jackson Jr., 43, of Buxton Drive in Evans, pending the results of a blood alcohol test, according to Columbia County sheriff’s Capt. Steve Morris.
White was taking a left turn off of Ronald Reagan Drive on a green arrow at about 11:45 p.m. Jackson, driving a Ford F250 truck, ran the red light heading west and hit the driver’s side of White’s Honda Accord, according to a sheriff's office accident report. The Honda spun and landed on the shoulder.
Jackson’s truck crossed the center line and hit a stopped tractor trailer, according to the report.
Jackson sustained minor injuries and was treated and released from MCG. The driver of the tractor trailer wasn’t injured.

I am trying to figure out when Springlakes Drive became a part of Evans but Cyndee Cir near where I live is MArtinez. If I am not mistaken since Springlakes is just about 2 miles away from Cyndee Cir how it could be Evans. Just like the previous article before it says it was in Appling when in fact the addresses are Grovetown. Somebody needs to fact check before publishing rubbish like this.
Have a heart.
Mr. Resident, a family has lost their child. Who cares about Evans, Martinez or whatever. If you don't like this "rubbish" then please don't log on this site and read their articles. I'm so sorry for this family. I'm praying for them.
Yes, have a heart...
What a terrible tragedy. One young woman has died because some adult was possibly drunk and ran a red light. The other two young people have their lives forever altered, as well as the uncountable family and friends of Miss White. May God be with the families of all involved.
Such a terrible, terrible
Such a terrible, terrible tragedy. My prayers go out to the families
Thoughts go out to the family
This is such a sad story. I hope well for the other passengers, and thoughts go out to the woman's family.
Resident- Spinglakes Drive, Cyndee Circle, etc. Is the victim's streets they live on. Not where the accident took place. I can't believe you would have the nerve to call this rubbish, this is a tragedy....maybe you should learn to read and follow an article.
Resident....how cold can one
Resident....how cold can one person be!!! A child has died. Have some respect if that's possible! May her family find the strength to get thru this horrible tragedy.
