Columbia County authorities are trying to identify a woman they say used an elderly man’s stolen credit card in May.

A 72-year-old man, who lives in Jones Manor assisted living facility in Martinez, told deputies that someone used his credit card to withdraw $160 from an Augusta ATM machine on May 16.

The man, who does not handle his own finances, said he became suspicious when he heard of another similar incident.

The woman allegedly used the man’s debit card at the Bank of America on Wheeler Road at Walton Way Extension.

Anyone with information about the woman’s identity or whereabouts should call the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office at (7060 541-2800.
