Blake Weems, 17, is charged with rape, aggravated child molestation and incest.

An Evans teenager charged with rape, aggravated child molestation and incest was granted $50,000 bond Friday morning.

Superior Court Judge Albert Pickett previously had denied bond in the case, but reconsidered a second petition for bond when Blake Weems’ family and his attorney, Travis Saul, presented an alternative plan for Weems’ release.

Assistant District Attorney Amanda Heath said Weems, 17, of the 4100 block of Quinn Drive in the Bridlewood Subdivision, performed sex acts on a 12-year-old girl. Heath opposed bond because Weems stated he knew it was wrong but “he couldn’t help himself.”

Pickett approved bond with several conditions: that Weems remain inside his grandparent’s house in Martinez with an electronic ankle monitor and have no access to a computer.

Who's going to keep Weems inside his grandparents' house?

His sexagarian grandfather?

That kid needs serious help.

That kid needs serious help. Hope he gets it. And I hope the 12 year old gets it too, she is his victim.
When you do stuff like this at 17, the future doesn't look bright.
