A shopper jumped the gun Wednesday morning by calling authorities about someone firing a gun at an Evans shopping center.
The caller said someone was firing some type of handgun into the air at about 9 a.m. outside the Marshall’s store in Mullins Crossing, according to police scanner traffic.
Columbia County sheriff deputies at the scene said the sounds came from a construction worker using a nail gun. He was working on a column outside Ross’s, a store next door, and wasn’t threatening anyone.

An shopper?
Duh ...
Fixed.
Fixed the typo. Thanks, grinder48.
Yeah
Because nail guns totally sound like firearms.
Yeah
Actually if it was a nail gun that uses .22 cartridges then yes they do sound like hand guns.
