A class ring found Thursday at an Evans water pollution control plant went unclaimed over the weekend.
The 1976 Evans High School ring was discovered by a worker while vacuuming a lift station at the Little River Water Pollution Control Plant, according to a news release.
After cleaning the ring, county employees found the initials "J.L.L." inscripted inside it. The ring appears to belong to a female and is either a size 5 or 6.
The ring was made by J K Herff Jones. Initially, employees thought the name "Sherie Jones" was inscripted inside the ring.
Anyone with information that would help reunite the ring with its owner may call the EMA Office at (706) 868-3303 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org,
