Summer Beach Blast
Area residents wanting to hear sounds of the beach can head tonight to Evans Towne Center Park.
Columbia County’s Summer Beach Blast will bring a tropical-themed concert to Lady Antebellum Pavilion.
Gates to the park open at 5:30 p.m., and music by The Tams begins at 7 p.m.
About 8 p.m., The Swingin’ Medallions will take the stage, followed by Bobby Hendrick’s Drifters at 9 p.m.
County Community Events Specialist Keela Colombraro said The Swingin’ Medallions, of Greenwood, S.C., are crowd favorites.
“They’re always such a big hit,” she said. “Everybody loves them.”
Colombraro said the audience will find a sand pit set up in front of the stage.
“People can shag in the sand,” she said.
Vendors will sell food and drinks, including daiquiris, and a misting tent and Arctic Beach Fun Zone for kids will be available.
