Columbia County authorities are looking for two men they say recently used a stolen credit card at a Martinez grocery store.
On April 30, a Martinez man told deputies that while he mowed grass behind his Oak Lake Drive home, someone stole his wallet out of his truck. The windows were rolled down, according to a sheriff’s office incident report.
The man said he checked his back account online and discovered that someone used his credit card at a nearby Circle K store on South Belair Road about 20 minutes after the man discovered the theft. A Tindall Construction company credit card, which also was in the wallet, was used at a nearby Food Lion on South Belair Road.
Food Lion store video surveillance cameras caught footage of the two suspects entering the store and the footage was turned over to investigators.
Anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the men should call the sheriff’s office at (706) 541-2800.
