Columbia County authorities are seeking a man who recently stole paint and marbles from the Evans Walmart.
A loss prevention officer for the store at 4469 Washington Road told sheriff’s deputies that on May 16 the man concealed four cans of spray paint and three bags of marbles in a book bag then exited without paying. When she tried to stop him, the loss prevention officer said he ran into the parking lot, got into a green Ford truck and fled.
The man is white, in his early 20s, 5-foot-10 to 6-foot tall, weighs between 150 to 170 pounds, and has brown hair and eyes. During the theft, he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, tan pants and red shoes.
Anyone with information on the subject should call the sheriff’s office at (706) 541-2800.
