Two people called authorities to Wildwood Park during the Memorial Day weekend claiming they were assaulted.
A 20-year-old woman said she was hit Saturday coming out of a bathroom at the park in Appling.
She said she went into the bathroom near the Point at about 10:30 p.m. When she came out, someone hit her in the back of the head. The woman said the next thing she remembered was sitting near the bathroom in the main boat trailer parking lot about 20 minutes later.
On Sunday, a man called authorities after an argument with a fellow camper led to an attack from his friend. The 24-year-old said that at about 1:40 a.m., he was arguing with another camper when his 23-year-old friend tried to get the man back to his campsite.
The man said his friend kicked his legs from under him causing him to break his leg. The man’s friend admitted he swept his legs and pushed his friend. When his friend fell, he heard his leg snap.
The man opted not to press charges against his friend, who he said didn’t intend for his leg to break.
