A woman was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after an crash Thursday afternoon on Interstate 20
Tianzhen Li, 47, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., was driving west on I-20 near the Grovetown exit about 4:30 p.m. when for unknown reasons she lost control of her Honda Accord and swerved off the road, said Georgia State Patrol Trooper First Class Matthew MacDonald. The vehicle overturned and came to rest on the driver's side.
Li was wearing a seatbelt and was taken to the Medical College of Georgia Hospital with minor injuries, MacDonald said. The crash remains under investigation, and charges are pending.
While the crash occurred off the roadway, westbound traffic was backed up for several miles.
