Expo to feature many agencies exhibiting at Savannah Rapids Pavilion

U.S. Rep. Paul Broun will hold an expo today for people interested in grant funding and business loans.

The Grants and Small Business Expo is designed to let people seeking grant funding and business loans speak with government representatives about the application process and their programs, according to a press release sent out by Broun’s office.

The free event is scheduled from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Savannah Rapids Pavilion, 3300 Evans-to-Locks Road, Martinez.

“Whether you’re a small business owner or representative for a non-profit or municipality, this free expo is designed to provide you with tips and tools to help you succeed,” Broun said in the press release. “It is a great way to network with state and federal representatives, and learn valuable information for your business or project.”

Agencies planning to attend and present at the expo include the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; Georgia Department of Community Affairs; Georgia Department of Community Affairs Appalachian Regional Commission; Georgia Department of Community Affairs Housing Finance Division;  Georgia Emergency Management Agency/Homeland Security; Georgia Student Finance Commission; Georgia Tech Procurement Assistance Center;; University of Georgia Small Business Development Center; U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development; U.S. Environmental Protection Agency; U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency; and U.S. Small Business Administration.
