Babypalooza, the annual free event for expectant mothers, will be held Saturday at the Doubletree Hotel, 2651 Perimeter Parkway, Augusta.
Organized by Safe Kids East Central and the Georgia Health Sciences Children’s Medical Center, the event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
"Our mission at Safe Kids is to prevent accidental childhood injury,” said Rene Hopkins, a registered nurse and Coordinator of Safe Kids East Central in a press release from GHSCMC. "The best time to prepare parents for children’s health and safety issues is before their child is born. We help do that through our Babypalooza events.”
The event will include advice on baby safety, crib safety, child car seat safety, accident prevention, poison prevention and other information. The first 100 moms-to-be attending will receive a gift bag.
There will also be games and door prize drawings throughout the event for items such as car seats, portable cribs and smoke alarms from the event's vendors. Space is available for additional vendors.
