Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in an Evans single-vehicle wreck Friday that left a truck overturned on Hardy McManus Road.
The wreck happened at about 5:30 p.m. when Brandon Castillo, 21, of Evans, was driving his red Ford F-150 north on Hardy McManus Road near the Woodruff Landing neighborhood, said Columbia County sheriff’s Deputy Bobby Bradford.
For unknown reasons, Castillo drove his truck off the road and overcorrected, causing the vehicle to flip and land in the middle of Hardy McManus Road, Bradford said.
Castillo was transported to Georgia Health Sciences University with non-life threatening injures, Bradford said.
Charges, including driving under the influence, against Castillo are pending, he said.
Traffic was rerouted in both directions on Hardy McManus Road until the truck was removed by a tow truck.

Why report this
Why report this when we send THE SPOTTED guys to *drunk n drown* at the local watering hole and it's front page?
Why report this?
Agreed. That spotted segment was absurd.
Because they can!!!!!!
The Spotted photographers go to places all over town, including bars occasionally. It does not make people drink and drive......that is a personal choice and a personal decision. People know they should not drink and drive, photos are not responsible for that. It amazes me how people are always so quick to try and put blame where it does not belong. I occasionally go to a bar and I don't even drink! I just enjoy getting out and doing something different, everyone who goes out to dance or mingle doesn't drink!
stillamazed too
I amazes me too how people are always so quick to try and put blame where it does not belong, like saying abortion protesters have no passion for their own families. Stuff like that.
Because they can!!!!!!
(S)tillamazed,
Drunks deserve no public recognition- lest it be in "The Jail Report."
