Authorities arrested Thursday two men suspected of robbing at gunpoint three people during a home invasion this week in Evans.
Finas Aaron Goodwin III, 17, and Scott LaMont Farley Jr., 18, both of Evans, were charged with armed robbery. Farley, who lived in the same Westwood Club apartment complex as the victims, also was charged with two more counts of armed robbery, three counts of possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime, and a count of burglary.
Two men in their early 20s and a 19-year-old woman told Columbia County sheriff’s deputies that two men forced their way into their home about 3 p.m. Tuesday on the 200 block of Lariat Circle.
All three were forced to lay on the floor while the robbers took cell phones, an Ipad, an X-Box and cash. Then, they ran from the home, according to a sheriff’s office report.
Goodwin and Farley are being held in the Columbia County Detention Center with no bond set.

Magnolia Ridge

Operative word here - apartments. And just a hint of what will happen once Magnolia Ridge becomes occupied.

Apartments = Crime

Apartments always bring more crime. CC Commissioners, you MUST stop approving them. They will destroy our county.

Apartment=only choice for some

While I do agree with you that apartments are a place where more crimes occur, I ask you where shall I reside? I live downstairs from where this incident occurred and I hate that this stuff happens close to where my child and I lay our heads at night. I work hard for my money and receive no assistance from anyone else. This is what I can afford. I moved to columbia county like many have for the good schools and to provide a safe place for my child. I fear for my child growing up in a world that increasingly lacks any sense of right and wrong. Bad resides everywhere.
